The Northern Territory is home to the iconic Ayers Rock and the Olgas, the most sacred Aboriginal sites in Australia. As well as Alice Springs and the magnificent Red Centre, the Northern Territory also includes its Top End tropical regions, such as the lush rainforests and waterfalls of Kakadu and Litchfield National Parks, or the river gorges of Katherine. For city lovers, the waterfront state capital of Darwin offers a vibrant multi-cultural melting pot where there's a cuisine to satisfy every palate!

Climate
The Northern Territory is hot for the vast majority of the year. The Top End has two seasons, dry and wet, whilst the Red Centre has the usual four seasons. Coastal areas have heavy monsoon rain from March-November.
Required Clothing
Lightweight cottons and linens are fine for most of the year. Waterproof clothing is essential in the Top End during the rainy season and a warm sweater or jacket is advised for the Red Centre during winter months, as evenings can be quite cool.
