Seoul, Korea

The Korean people are friendly, hospitable and take immense pride in their 5,000 years of history and living by traditional values in a contemporary society.

The capital city of Seoul is a modern cityscape due to the destruction caused by the Japanese invasions in the 16th and 17th centuries, and by the devastation of the 1950’s Korean War. Seoul is the fifth largest city in the world and is renowned as one of the safest places to travel as it boasts exceptionally low crime rates.

Seoul is home to a variety of tourist attractions, many of which can be explored on a city tour. Your stopover will include visits to the Blue House (the President of Korea’s residence), Kyongbok Palace (home of the Korean Royal Family for over 600 years), the Chogyesa Temple (one of the only Buddhist Temples situated within the city), and the Korean Folk Village (a 240-acre open air museum where ancient Korean customs are maintained). As well as many monuments and areas of historical interest, Seoul is also a popular shopping hotspot with districts such as Myeong-dong and Apgujeong.
