Bali, Indonesia

The province of Bali is one of Indonesia’s 18,000 islands, located at the eastern tip of the island of Java. It is called the ‘Island of Peace’ by its inhabitants due to its slow-paced and relaxed way of living. Ritual ceremonies are a part of daily life for the Balinese, some of which can be entertaining for tourists to watch, but the utmost respect must be shown for their traditions and beliefs.

Bali’s capital is Denpasar, but the main tourist area is Kuta. Visitors flock to Bali for its beautiful sunsets, palm fringed beaches, terraced rice fields, the fantastic ethnic shopping in boutiques and the roadside stalls dotted all over the island.
